Cookies and Tracking
What Cookies Are
Cookies are compact text files stored by websites in your browser during a visit. They let a site recognise a returning browser and recall details such as whether you are signed in. Session cookies disappear when the browser is closed. Persistent cookies stay for a set length of time, so the site can recognise you when you come back.
On this page, cookies also means related tools Ottawa Casino uses, including tracking pixels and browser local storage. Ottawa Casino sets first party cookies directly, and third party cookies are placed by other companies via our site.
Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies on our site come from partners who help us run it. These include payment and verification providers, game studios whose titles load in our lobby, analytics tools and, if you agree, marketing partners.
These partners use their cookies for the purposes described on this page and under their own privacy terms. We select partners carefully and do not permit them to sell information collected through our site. Game studios may place cookies so that their games load properly and keep your in-game settings.
Managing Cookies
On your first visit, a cookie notice asks for your consent to each optional category: marketing, functional and analytics. To update these choices later, use the cookie settings option in the footer of every page.
Cookies can also be blocked or cleared in your browser settings. Each browser puts these controls in a different menu, normally labelled privacy or security. Keep strictly necessary cookies enabled, because signing in, deposits and location checks rely on them.
Declining optional cookies does not affect your account, your balance or your access to games. You may simply see less relevant offers and a lobby that does not remember your preferences.
Marketing Cookies
Marketing cookies show us which campaigns lead players to Ottawa Casino and let us display relevant offers on other sites. We only use them with your consent.
Marketing cookies are not directed at anyone under 19, nor at players who have self-excluded through our Safer Play tools. In Ontario, offers can be seen only by registered players who are signed in, and all marketing follows local rules.
Functional Cookies
Functional cookies keep the site convenient. They save your language, recently played games, lobby favourites and display settings, and they help Live Casino streams run smoothly on your connection.
You can decline these cookies. Turning them off does not break the site, though your preferences will have to be chosen again every time you visit.
Strictly Necessary Cookies
Strictly necessary cookies keep the site running and secure. They are always on, because the service cannot work without them. They are used to:
- keep you logged in as you move between pages
- guard against fraud and unauthorised access to your account
- support location checks before deposits and during play
- process deposits and withdrawals safely
- remember your cookie choices
- apply limits and safer play settings to your account
These cookies do not track you for marketing and are not shared with advertisers.
Analytics Cookies
Analytics cookies tell us how players move through the site: pages that load slowly, the most played games, where visitors drop off a page and which features hit errors. This data helps us make the lobby, Promotions, payments and support better.
Analytics data is combined and studied as overall trends, never used to pick out individual players. These cookies are optional and are only set with your agreement.
Changes
We update this page when we introduce or drop a cookie, change partners or face new legal rules. The newest version, dated from when it applies, is always kept here. Where your consent is needed for a change, we show the cookie notice again so you can make a fresh choice.
For questions about cookies, email support@ottawacasino.app. More detail on how we handle personal information is on our How We Handle Your Data page.
